Las Vegas, Nevada — June 28, 2021 — Mariann Carter, Founder of Carter Hears!, was honored with the “Excellence in Education” award for her significant contributions to the education sector at the second edition of The Global Forum for Education and Learning (GFEL), held at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas, USA on June 23–25, 2021.

Mariann is an experienced elementary and secondary educational leader and a renowned teacher for children living with hearing impairment. As a hearing specialist and a third-generation deaf educator, she brings a wealth of knowledge into planning, teaching, developing, and implementing educational design for students with hearing loss.

Mariann works with students with hearing loss from pre-school through the post-graduate level. In addition to serving on numerous state and international boards and being a member of deaf and hard of hearing advocacy groups, she has helped develop academic strategies and educational plans that support the varied needs of students and young adults.

When asked about her experience at GFEL, she said, “It’s a blessing to be at GFEL, knowing that what we are doing in our small place now is something we want to be doing everywhere. I am really humbled and I’ve really worked hard for this honor!”

GFEL, a brand owned by Prism Events, Inc., is a three-day international education conference that promotes networking, knowledge sharing and recognizes the industry-leading work of visionary individuals and organizations. After the successful conclusion of its second edition, we seek to empower education experts by building and expanding our presence in the Asia-Pacific and MENA regions.
